FORD RAPTOR UPGRADE GUIDE

Built to be capable.
Tuned to be yours.

From bringing Live Valve technology to earlier trucks to refining the performance of your current setup, SDi offers a clear path to a better Raptor suspension experience. Explore E-CLIK, top hats, trailing arms, and revalve services for your generation.

THE E-CLIK EXPERIENCE

Intelligent control.
Across your whole drive.

A Raptor needs to work on more than one kind of surface. E-CLIK gives you a way to shape its suspension response for the commute, the trail, and open desert terrain—without settling for one fixed damping setup.

Automatic Damping

E-CLIK uses vehicle data and an IMU to adjust compatible FOX Live Valve shocks in real time, balancing comfort and body control as conditions change.

Terrain Modes

Choose Street, Trail, or Desert to match your surroundings, then let the system handle the ongoing damping adjustments.

Front / Rear Adjustment

Set front and rear damping independently from the touchscreen, with 10 tuning levels at each end.

Pro Menu

Refine pitch, roll, turn, throttle, and brake sensitivities to tailor the response to your truck and driving style.

Payload / Towing Compensation

Adjust rear damping for cargo or trailer load. This tunes suspension response; it does not increase the truck’s load ratings.

Touchscreen Control

Make suspension adjustments from the cab. E-CLIK works alongside the factory driving and steering modes on supported applications.

GEN 1 | 2012–2014

Bring Live Valve
to your Gen 1.

Pair the E-CLIK system with Gen 2 Live Valve shocks to bring electronic damping control to your earlier Raptor. This is a conversion that combines the right shock hardware, mounting solution, and E-CLIK electronics.

Required separately: A coil bucket conversion and Gen 2 Live Valve shocks supplied by the customer. The E-CLIK electronics system does not include the coil bucket conversion or shocks.

The listed application covers 2012–2014 Raptors with the 6.2L engine. Plan the shock fitment and mounting conversion before ordering, including an appropriate touchscreen mount.

GEN 2 | 2017–2018

Add the technology
your truck missed.

The early Gen 2 trucks did not come with Live Valve suspension. The E-CLIK system and harness provide the electronic control needed to run compatible Live Valve shocks, bringing automatic damping and touchscreen tuning to these model years.

Required separately: Compatible FOX Live Valve shocks. The original non-electronic shocks cannot provide Live Valve control simply by adding the E-CLIK electronics.

Build on the conversion with SDi top hats, and consider our E-CLIK-specific revalve service for the Live Valve shocks you are installing.

GEN 2 | 2019–2020

Already Live Valve.
Ready for E-CLIK.

Take the performance of your existing Live Valve shocks further with the E-CLIK Electronics Package. Add control over suspension response with terrain modes, independent front/rear adjustment, and Pro Menu tuning.

The electronics package includes an ECU, IMU, touchscreen controller, and wiring harness. Your compatible Live Valve shocks remain the foundation of the system.

Round out the setup with top hats and an E-CLIK-specific revalve to address both the mechanical tune and electronic response.

GEN 3 | 2021–2023

Refine the ride.
Build on the capability.

Make the E-CLIK shock performance package the starting point for your Gen 3 upgrade plan. E-CLIK brings its terrain modes and driver tuning tools to compatible factory FOX Live Valve shocks, giving you more control over how the truck responds.

Application: This guide covers 2021–2023 trucks using the compatible single Live Valve configuration. Confirm your shock setup when ordering. Select the E-CLIK system and any revalve work to suit your build.

Complement the E-CLIK setup with SDi top hats up front, upgraded trailing arms at the rear, and Gen 3 revalve service. Each part addresses a different piece of the suspension package.

SUPPORTING HARDWARE

Build beyond
the electronics.

Gen 2 / Gen 3 Top Hats

SDi Elite Front Bucket Assemblies replace the upper front shock mounts. Billet construction, rubber damping, and approximately 1.75 inches of lift let you retain the stock springs without relying on excessive preload for ride height. Sold in pairs, with Gen 2/3 mounting hardware.

Gen 3 Trailing Arms

Upgrade the upper and lower trailing arms with machined 7075-T651 aluminum and serviceable RockJock Johnny Joints. The bolt-on set includes mounting hardware and is available in black anodize or raw finish.

The Gen 2/3 top hats are a separate upgrade from the coil bucket conversion required to fit Gen 2 shocks to a Gen 1 truck.

GEN 2 + GEN 3 REVALVE SERVICES

The tune inside
makes a difference.

E-CLIK manages the damping electronically. Revalving changes the shock’s internal mechanical tune. Pairing the two lets SDi prepare your Live Valve shocks to work with the E-CLIK system and your truck’s setup.

SDi offers revalve services for Gen 2 and Gen 3 Live Valve shocks. Share your spring configuration, modifications, vehicle use, and ride goals when submitting the service form.

E-CLIK required: SDi’s Raptor performance revalve tune is specifically for E-CLIK-equipped trucks.

BEFORE YOU BUILD

Raptor upgrade questions.

Do I need new shocks to install E-CLIK?

For 2012–2014, you need Gen 2 Live Valve shocks and a separate coil bucket conversion. For 2017–2018, you need compatible Live Valve shocks. For 2019–2020 and supported 2021–2023 trucks, E-CLIK can control compatible existing Live Valve shocks.

Are top hats required for E-CLIK?

Top hats are a complementary Gen 2/3 hardware upgrade. They are separate from the E-CLIK electronics and from the Gen 1 coil bucket conversion. Review your shock, spring, and ride-height plans with SDi.

Should I add revalving when installing E-CLIK?

SDi recommends revalving for best results with compatible OEM Live Valve shocks. The service complements E-CLIK by addressing the internal shock tune. Review the available Gen 2 or Gen 3 service with the SDi team.

How do I choose the right package?

Start with the model year, then identify the shocks currently on the truck. Tell SDi about spring changes, leveling hardware, payload, towing, and off-road use so the upgrade plan accounts for the whole build.
